LRI Medical is the flagship of a very caring and efficient medical care team that will support your lifelong health and wellness. It is headed by primary care doctors who have expertise in family medicine and general practice, and are well respected in the community. They are outstanding medical professionals who have merged health and compassion into their practice, with a combined experience of 50+ years of service. They use a team approach to care for people of ages 18 and older. With the combined effort of a nurse practitioner and medical assistants, LRI Medical provides personalized care to support your individual needs, whether you are healthy, sick or living with a chronic condition. Once a patient, you become part of the LRI Medical family. We now have two locations to serve you.
Catherine P. Sembrano-Navarro, MD.
Dr. Navarro, is a Family Practitioner in Crystal River, FL and owns LRI Medical. She hails from Surigao City, Philippines. Dr. Navarro finished her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Degree from Cebu Doctors University, Philippines in 2000 in the top of her class. She finished her residency at Heritage Valley Health Systems, an affiliate of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Beaver, PA from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Navarro is board-certified in Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Florida Wellcare Alliance and American Health Council. She has privileges at Citrus Memorial Hospital and Bayfront Health Seven Rivers. She is a member West Florida Medical Associates PA. Dr. Sembrano-Navarro has special interest in managing Diabetes, Cardiovascular diseases and Women’s Health. Recently, she added Aesthetic medicine to her practice and owns MedUltima Aesthetics.
Yelandra Daniels, MD
Dr. Daniels is a board-certified family practitioner with over thirty years experience in primary care. She also has experience in sports medicine, having worked with varsity athletes at the University of Cincinnati. She received her undergraduate degree at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee and both her medical degree and MBA at the University of Cincinnati. She trained at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati as a family practice resident. As a family practice physician, Dr. Daniels strives to empower her patients by working collaboratively with them in improving and maintaining their health. She is passionate about patient education and takes a holistic approach to addressing mental, emotional and physical well-being. While she has lived in several regions of the country and spent most of her childhood in Cincinnati, she considers herself a southerner, as she was born and also spent a lot of time in her birthplace, Birmingham, Alabama. Having lived several years in Georgia, however, she is a Georgia Bulldogs football fan. Dr. Daniels is a proud mother of two daughters, a son, and two boxer babies. She loves gardening, good food and sunshine and feels she has come home since moving to this area.
Carrie L Staton, ARNP
Carrie L. Staton, ARNP is a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner in Crystal River, Fl. She was raised on Marine Corps bases around the country before settling down in Florida. She was an RN for 26 years in the hospital setting, working mainly in Critical Care and then returned to school, at Graceland University, to become a nurse practitioner. She has been board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 14 years. She currently practices at LRI Medical and is affiliated with Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center. When not caring for patients, she is busy with family, her mother, children and grandchildren. She loves to scuba dive.
Gail Deam
Gail Deam was the office manager for LRI Medical from its start. Without her, there would be no LRI Medical. She was the heart and soul of the office, bringing in smiles and laughter as soon as she entered the building. She knew every patient by name and greeted everyone with a smile. She was born in Dumaguete City in the Philippines but moved to Spring Hill, Florida in 1999 and lived there ever since. Unfortunately, she is no longer physically with us having passed away from COVID-19 in June of 2021.
David J. Deam, MD.- RETIRED
David J. Deam, MD is a former practicing General Practitioner in Spring Hill, FL. He hails from Anna Maria Island, FL. Dr. Deam graduated from University Autonoma de Guadalajara and University of California Irvine School Of Medicine in 1980. He completed his surgery internship and residency at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA; and neurosurgery residency at Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. He was part of a group of distinguished physicians, Good Shepherd Medical Clinic PA. He formally practiced at LRI Medical which is part of West Florida Medical Associates; and is affiliated with Oak Hill Hospital. In addition to English, Dr. Deam speaks Spanish. He is an avid fisherman and cook. Dr. Deam is currently retired in the Philippines, enjoying the local mangoes and tropical mountain breezes.
